Biography

GabrielsenGeorge is a resident of Jamesport where he and his wife Janice have raised their 4 children Kristina, Robert, Georgia and Stephanie. Their expanded family now includes daughter-inlaw Mandy and grandchildren André, Robert Jr., Ava (and baby Ayden has arrived!) His outreach programs and charity to the community have earned his family the highest respect.

George feels that more often than not most issues can be resolved with some God-given common sense. Every citizen should go to sleep at night feeling secure in knowing their government is in good, strong hands.

From 1992-present, George is the owner of Gabrielsen’s Country Plant Farm in Jamesport. For many years, the farm has been a sponsor of education awareness tours for Aquebogue Elementary School. His outreach programs and charity to the community has given his family name the highest respect.

George has proven that he has the “heads up” in getting the job done and has the fiscal experience to come out ahead. Whether it’s Downtown revitalization, a real plan for EPCAL’s future or even new recreation opportunities for our citizens, George has been working hard to do the right thing for Riverhead.

Councilman Gabrielsen showed his commitment to the community during the Spring 2010 floods, when he donated his time and his farm’s irrigation pump for 6 weeks to keep Manor Lane in Jamesport open. This saved the Town thousands of dollars. He has also donated greenhouse space, vegetable plants and supplies for the Community Garden Project.
